I don't know about you but when I was growing up Saturday afternoons were spend at the local movie theater where for .35 cents you could spend the entire day with your friends watching the double feature. Parents would drop off the kids and have the afternoon free, with the movies acting as the babysitter. This was a time when you saw cartoons before the movie and coming attractions to keep you coming back for more. Our town was too small to have it's own movie theater so we went to the nearby town of Easton, PA that offered two theaters. I remember those days fondly and the friends that shared that time with me. It was as much a social event as it was entertainment.
Here are a few examples of the movies that were showing at that time.
